| Budget Planner Help |

| With the Budget Planner, you would be able to keep track the budgets for each month, along with the actual spending. Create monthly budgets in categories and Category Items that you define. Since it does not require any internet connection, you could use the budget planner, as soon as you spend and you could plan at your leisure. You could export all your budget and actual spending to your desktop computer in CSV format which could be opened in popular spreadsheet application like excel. |

| Budget Planner displays various graphs using which the end user could infer and do various analyses. As part of security, the application support PIN number protection. |

| |
| Add New Category |
| Go to Settings tab and then press the Add button and enter the Category name and Select the Category type (Income or Expense). Press the Save button to save the new Category. |

| Edit Category |
| Go to Settings tab and then press the Edit button. Now Red buttons will appear in left side of each Category. Press the Category you want to edit and Change the Category name/ Select Category type information. Press the Save button to save the changes for the Category. Once you are done with the editing, Press the Done button to leave the edit mode. |

| Delete a Category |
Before deleting a Category, ensure that there is no Category Items available for that Category. |

| There are two ways to delete a Category. |
| |
| Go to Settings tab and to delete a single Category just "swipe your finger horizontally" on top of the Category row in the Category list. A Delete button (In Red Color) will appear in the right hand side of Category, which you can press to delete the Category.

| To delete multiple Categories, press the Edit button on the Category screen, which will put the list in edit mode. For the Category which you want to delete, press the red delete circle in the left of the Category’s name and then press the Delete button that appears. Press the Done button to leave edit mode once you are done with deleting.

| Add New Category Item |
| Go to Settings tab and select the Category for which you want to add Category Item. Then press the Add button and enter the Category Item information. Press the Save button to save the new Category Item.

| Edit Category Item |
| Go to Settings tab and select the Category for which you want to edit any Category Item. Then press the Edit button. Now RED buttons will appear left side of the Category Item. It indicates that the Category Item list in edit mode. Now Press on the Category Item that you want to edit and change the Category Item name. Press the Save button to save the changes. Press the Done button to leave the edit mode once you are done deleting. |

| Delete a Category Item |
There are two ways to delete a Category Item. |

| Go to Settings tab and select the Category for which you want to edit any Category Item. To delete a single Category Item just "swipe your finger horizontally" on top of the Category Item row. | Import Budget Entries from Previous Month |
| For every month we would have some recurring income / expense which would be almost same for consecutive months. Budget Planner provides a facility to import all the budget entries from the previous month to current month. This feature enables the user to quickly fix up the budget for current month without entering all the entries. |

| To Import the Budget Entries from the Last Month to Current Month, Press the Import button. One you invoke the Budget Planner, you will see Import button at the top left side. |

| Edit Budget Entry |
| Go to Budget tab select the Category from the list. Now you can see Category Item(s) for the Selected Category which would show the existing budget amounts for each Category Item for the Selected Month. You could edit the amount and Press on the Save button to update the budget for the Selected Month. |

| Edit Actual Entry |
| Go to Daily tab. Now you could see the Budgeted Value and Actual Value for each category. Select the Category from the list. Now you can see Category Item(s) for the Selected Category which will show the existing Actual amounts for each Category Item. You could edit the amount and Press on the Save button to update the actuals for the Selected Month. |

| Check the Daily Spending total |
| Go to Actual tab (Actual Summary). You can see the total spending amount by Category wise. At the bottom of each Category you could see the budget amount for the month selected. You could drill down the Category to track the summary of the Category Item by selecting the appropriate Category. |

| Check the Balance for the Particular Category or Category Item |
| Go to Reports tab Press on the Budget Vs Actual Comparison from the report list. You can see the Budget, Actual and Variance amounts Category wise. You can change the month by pressing on the Date button from the navigation bar. If you want to track the report by Category Item wise then select appropriate Category from the Category list. |

| Change the Budget Month |
| Once you start the Budget Planner, you could see the Selected Month at top right. By default current month will be displayed. To change the month, press that button which shows the selected month and change the date you need. Then press the Save Date button to change the selected month. |

| Change the Month in Daily Activity |
| Once you navigate to Daily tab, you could see the Selected Month at top right. By default current month will be displayed. To change the month, press that button which shows the selected month and change the date you need. Then press the Save Date button to change the selected month. |

| Set Currency |
| Go to Settings tab and then press the Options button at top left side of the Screen. Press the Currency button, where you could choose the Currency Symbol (Dollar, Euro, Yen, and Pound). You could choose Custom Currency and press on the text "Custom" to enter your currency symbol. And press save button to show the currency symbol in all the places (Budget / Daily / Actual Summary and Report). |

| If you do not want any currency symbol, then choose the Custom Currency and leave the Custom Currency as blank. |

| Export |
| You could export the Budget Entries, Actual Entries to your email in CSV format (Coma Separated). Go to Settings tab and then press the Options button at top left side of the Screen. Press the Export button. You could specify From Date and To Date for Export and press "Export Date to call the entries in between these dates would be sent to your email address". |

| Security PIN |
| You could set PIN Number to access Budget Planner. Go to Settings tab and then press the Options button at top left side of the Screen. Press the PIN button and set the PIN Number by switching ON the Use PIN Number option. |

| Report |
Budget Planer shows the data in various useful charts and report for user. You could navigate to different month by selecting Month at the top right of each report.
a) Budget: It will display Budget - Income, Expense and Balance amount graphically. |

| b) Actual: It will display Actual - Income, Expense and Balance amount graphically. |
 |
|
| c) Budget Spending: It is pie chart which would display Categories distribution for the Budgeted values |
|
|
| d) Actual Spending: It is pie chart which would display Categories distribution for the Actual values |
 |
|
| e) Budget Vs Actual: It will display both budget and Actual value as single snapshot as Bar representation. |

|
| f) Income Vs Expenses - Budget: It is line representation which will show Income and Expenses for Budget Values |
 |
|
| g) Income Vs Expenses - Actual: It is line representation which will show Income and Expenses for Actual Values |

|
| h) Budget Vs Actual Comparison: It will display both Budget and Actual Values for each category with Variance. User could drill down by selecting each category to seek more information about Category Items. |
